Fridge, Chiller or Freezer? Which to Rent for Your Event in Singapore
You've got an event coming up - a wedding, a bazaar stall, a corporate D&D - and you know you need cold storage, but "fridge", "chiller" and "freezer" all get thrown around like they're the same thing. They're not, and the wrong pick means warm drinks or melted ice cream in front of your guests. Most event fridge rentals in Singapore come down to three choices, so here's how to decide in two minutes.

Serving cold drinks? You want a chiller
If the job is keeping cans, bottles and packet drinks cold, a glass-display drink chiller is what you're after. It holds around 1-5°C - cold enough to serve straight from the door - and the glass front lets guests see what's inside, which matters at a stall or a bar.
Size it to your crowd. As a rough guide, a 255L unit holds about 180 (320ml) cans or roughly 100 (500ml) bottles; a 500L holds about 400 cans or 250 bottles; the 380L sits in between. If you'll restock through the day, you can go a size down; if it's one big load for a full crowd, size up.

Serving ice cream, gelato or frozen food? You want a freezer
Anything that has to stay frozen - gelato, ice cream, ice - needs a freezer, not a chiller. For scooping in front of guests, a gelato or ice-cream display freezer shows off the tubs while keeping them frozen. For bulk frozen stock behind the scenes, a chest freezer or glass chest freezer does the heavy lifting. Don't try to freeze in a drink chiller - it isn't built for it.

Want people to SEE the product? Go glass-display
Cakes, desserts, premium drinks - anything where presentation sells - call for a glass display fridge or cake display chiller that keeps it cold while it stays on show. The Low-E glass doors cut misting so the view stays clear, and there are glass-front units on the freezer side too.

Power and venue: two quick checks
Our display units run on a standard Singapore 13A wall socket - plug-and-play, single-phase. A 255L draws about 300W and a 500L about 420W, so a normal power point handles them without special wiring.
These units are recommended for indoor events. At an outdoor venue in Singapore humidity, some condensation may form on the outer glass - that's normal and wipes right off, but it's worth knowing before you set up under the sun at a pasar malam or roadshow.
